Legacy on Main I, a well-maintained 78-unit affordable housing community located in the heart of Mesa, Arizona, is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Maintenance Lead who thrives working independently. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in ownership, delivers exceptional customer service, and enjoys being the go-to person for their community.

As the Maintenance Lead at Legacy on Main I, you will oversee the daily maintenance operations of the property while also serving as the backup Maintenance Lead for our sister community, Legacy on Main II, located next door.

What You'll Do

• Perform and oversee all aspects of apartment maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance. 
• Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally. 
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including turns and inspections. 
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, and locks. 
• Maintain the property's curb appeal and common areas. 
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary. 
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies. 
• Participate in the on-call emergency maintenance rotation. 
• Assist Legacy on Main II when additional maintenance support is needed.

Requirements:

  What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of apartment maintenance experience. 
• Previous Maintenance Lead or supervisory experience preferred. 
• Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, and general maintenance skills. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time management skills. 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record. 
• EPA Certification preferred. 
• Experience with affordable housing (HUD and/or LIHTC) is a plus.
