Operations Manager, CYF. Permanent Full Time - South West WA Job no: 506583 Employment type: Full Time Location: Bunbury & South West Categories: Child, Youth & Family Job Summary Operations Manager – Child, Youth & Family Services. Manage Family Based Care and Residential Services across the South West of WA, leading a team within our Child, Youth & Family portfolio. Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple residential care models, including budgets, workforce management, performance outcomes, contractual compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement, and ensuring family base care placements meet contractual obligations. Provide proactive leadership and drive high‑performing services focused on quality care, client outcomes and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Manage Family Based Care and Residential Services across the South West of WA. Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple residential care models. Budget, workforce management, performance outcomes, contractual compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Ensure family base care placements meet contractual obligations. Provide strong proactive leadership and contribute to broader WA CYF leadership group. Qualifications & Experience Recognised degree qualification within human services or related discipline. Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, ideally within a residential care setting. Sound understanding of supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, complex needs, disabilities and/or display trauma‑based behaviours. Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Significant experience in the leadership and management of multiple services within contractual and financial requirements. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes. Excellent people management skills, including supervision of House Managers and child and Family Partitioners. Excellent skills in managing stakeholder engagement with the Department and Aboriginal Controlled Organisations. Current & Unrestricted driver’s licence.
