Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED for adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients, including triage and initial assessment.
- Monitor and respond to rapidly changing conditions; manage care for high-acuity presentations such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
- Administer medications, perform procedures within scope, start IVs, assist with emergent interventions, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document care accurately in EPIC EMR; ensure proper charting, medication reconciliation, and patient/family education.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical guidelines; participate in float requirements as needed.

Requirements
- Active NYRN license; NURSYS verification showing an ACTIVE license; must hold current NY RN licensure
- Experience: 2+ years in an Emergency Department; some pediatric exposure; travel experience required
- Certifications: current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC in-hand
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- Travel experience documented on resume; RTO must be included at submission
- Ability to float to related units and work a variable night schedule
