Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director

As Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director at Drax, you will lead end-to-end optimization of our generation plants and integrated value chain, from fuel sourcing through delivery of power to customers. You’ll develop and execute data-driven strategies that enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability while supporting Drax’s mission of a zero-carbon, lower-cost energy future. Partnering with engineering, operations, trading, and commercial teams, you will deliver complex, cross-functional programs that improve asset performance, reduce cost-to-serve, and strengthen sustainability. You will own key KPIs, oversee major optimization initiatives, build a high-performing team, and provide clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
