Job Title: Staff Accountant

Compensation: $35-37/hr (DOE)

Job Description:

• Analyze and process monthly consignment sales activity, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries in accordance with month-end close deadlines and accounting policies.
• Perform budget-to-actual analyses and provide detailed explanations of financial variances to support management decision-making.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests.
• Assist with the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly financial reporting packages and management reporting materials.
• Partner with internal departments to provide financial analysis, respond to inquiries, and support reporting needs across the organization.
• Review project-related financial documentation for completeness and accuracy, establish project records, and maintain associated tracking information.
• Assign and maintain work-in-process (WIP) classifications while monitoring project-related expenses throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Review purchase orders, allocate production and project-related costs, and ensure expenses are accurately reflected in project costing and financial reporting.
• Close completed projects and validate final costs, including production, preparation, and other applicable expenses.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and data integrity while meeting established deadlines.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while consistently producing quality work.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting responsibilities.
• Familiarity with journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, small-team environment.
• Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
