Finance / Accounting Manager

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Finance/Accounting Manager in Lakewood Ranch, FL.Overview:A large and rapidly growing home builder and land development company in the Greater Tampa Bay area is seeking a high-impact accounting and finance professional to join their expanding team. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, overseeing a team while driving key financial insights.This role blends core accounting, financial analysis, and team leadership, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making across multiple active development projects. The ideal candidate is hands-on, forward-thinking, and comfortable leading in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:* Lead and mentor a team of up to 4 associates, providing guidance, training, and performance support* Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting* Review team output to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards* Analyze project costs, land development expenditures, and construction budgets* Partner with operations teams to track and evaluate project performance and variances* Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling initiatives* Prepare management reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership* Identify process improvements and help scale accounting and reporting functions as the company continues to grow* Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and proceduresRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required* 4-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis* Heavy forecasting and reporting experience* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis* Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets* Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment* Prior experience leading or mentoring others (formal or informal) strongly preferred* Experience in construction, homebuilding, real estate, or land development is a plusJob TypeDirect HireCompensation110000 - $150000
