Job Title: Collections Specialist (Contract)
Location: Chatsworth, In-person
Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm
Pay rate: $23-25

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to manage accounts receivable and ensure timely payment of invoices. This role provides short-term support to the finance team, focusing on analyzing customer accounts, resolving payment issues, negotiating terms, and reducing delinquency rates. The Collections Analyst will collaborate with internal teams to maintain cash flow and improve processes. Attention to detail, strong organization, and effective communication are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
- Communicate with customers to resolve overdue payments and negotiate terms.
- Assess credit risk and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes and payment delays.
- Generate reports on collection activities and present findings to management.
- Recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Requirements and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
