HR Administrator

Position Summary The HR Administrator provides essential support across allhuman resources functions, serving as a primary point of contact for employeeinquiries and ensuring the smooth administration of HR programs, policies, andcompliance requirements. This role is integral to maintaining accurateworkforce records and supporting day-to-day HR operations in a fast-pacedcontracting environment. Key Responsibilities Employee Records & HRIS Maintainaccurate and up-to-date employee files, both physical and digital Processnew hire documentation, terminations, and status changes in the HRIS Ensurepersonnel records comply with applicable federal, state, and localregulations Prepareemployment verifications and respond to related inquiries Recruiting & Onboarding Postopen positions on job boards and company website Screenresumes and coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers Managebackground check and pre-employment screening processes Facilitatenew hire onboarding, including orientation and benefits enrollment Benefits Administration Serveas a point of contact for employee benefits questions (health, dental,vision, 401(k), etc.) Coordinateopen enrollment communications and process elections Liaisewith benefit carriers and brokers to resolve coverage issues Trackand administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs Payroll Support Collectand verify timesheets; coordinate with payroll to resolve discrepancies Processpayroll changes including pay adjustments, direct deposit updates, andgarnishments Maintainrecords related to overtime, prevailing wage, and certified payroll whereapplicable Compliance & Policy Administration Assistwith workers' compensation claims administration and recordkeeping (OSHA300 log) Maintaincompliance with I-9/E-Verify requirements Distributeand track receipt of company policies and required notices SupportEEO reporting and maintain required postings at all job sites General HR Support Respondto employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and HR programs Assistwith employee relations matters by documenting issues and escalatingappropriately SupportHR projects including engagement surveys, performance review cycles, andtraining coordination Maintainconfidentiality of all HR and employee information Qualifications Required Associate'sor Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or arelated field, OR equivalent work experience 2+years of HR administrative or coordinator experience Proficiencywith HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strongattention to detail and organizational skills Abilityto handle sensitive information with discretion Preferred Experiencein construction, contracting, or a field-based workforce environment Familiaritywith prevailing wage, certified payroll, or multi-state employment laws SHRM-CP,PHR, or related HR certification Working Conditions Standardoffice environment with occasional visits to field/job sites Mayrequire extended hours during peak recruiting or open enrollment periods Must be able to sit for extended periods andoperate standard office equipment #J-18808-Ljbffr Pointer Smith Contracting Corporation
