This is an individual contributor role requiring deep product leadership skills that can drive a transformation of our Listening product into a best in class provider of decision-grade social insights for our target personas
Why join Sprout’s Product team?
Sprout empowers businesses worldwide to harness the immense power and opportunity of social media in today’s digital-first world. - Partner closely with Engineering to deliver on product bet investments, balancing near-term customer/revenue commitments against longer-term strategic goals. Drive innovative solutions that balance value with risk, effort and strategic alignment

- You will be continuously challenging yourself and your peers to innovate - exploring new value creation opportunities - from unmet important customer needs to technology innovations and improvements in how we work as a product and wider team.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and visionary product leader to help our company accelerate the growth of our Listening product. If you can align teams around solving hard problems together to achieve business impact, we'd love to talk with you!

- Deep curiosity in rapidly changing landscapes affecting the social domain, software and the PM craft. The person must demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement (at a personal, team and product level) with an aptitude for hands‑on learning and experimentation
- Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and project management skills ensuring core leadership & roadmap priorities progress at a fast pace while also meeting other PM demands
We are only looking for candidates in EST or CST time due to the heavy cross collaboration with international teams

- Analyzing our qualitative and quantitative research to start forming hypotheses about how our product can better fit our customers’ lives.
- Facilitating quarterly roadmap planning for your team and represent the plan to the rest of Sprout’s product teams, including executive leadership.
- Collaborating with other product managers for cross‑team problem solving and feature delivery. Develop a strong understanding of Sprout’s wider product portfolio and consider how customers’ workflow spans across them.
Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:
- Becoming the expert in Sprout's Listening product and confidently speaking to strategy, technical tradeoffs, and roadmap with internal and external stakeholders
- Owning the Listening roadmap and delivering measurable results on key strategic initiatives.
- Identify key opportunities to improve cross‑team collaboration and alignment.
- Standing up working cadences to build and deliver on product roadmap and outcomes in partnership with design, engineering, and GTM teams
Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:
- Making strategic recommendations across product, pricing, gtm and ways of working to drive outsized business impact
- Consistently meeting and exceeding established performance targets.
- Obtaining (solicited and unsolicited) and acting upon peer, customer, and leadership feedback.
- Be ready to take on new challenges to help your team and the broader PM organization -- including things we maybe haven’t even anticipated
- Continue to evolve Sprout’s product culture, shaping the next generation of product managers.
- Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change our ambition for Listening at Sprout in beneficial ways that we haven’t even considered yet!
Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.
