Project Coordinator III

Job Summary This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of transformative growth driven by AI and data center demand, supporting complex, high‑impact capacity expansions and multi‑million‑dollar capital projects from planning through execution. Responsibilities Support Project Managers in planning and executing projects across the full project lifecycle Maintain project schedules, action logs, risk registers, and status reports Coordinate cross‑functional meetings, document minutes, and track follow‑up actions Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies; escape risks or delays as needed Assist with purchase order tracking, capital documentation, and change management records Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and external vendors Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and properly archived Support new product introduction (NPI), capacity growth, and process improvement initiatives Help standardize project management tools, templates, and reporting processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) +5 years of experience in a project coordination, project engineering, or operations support role Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced manufacturing or technical environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting capital projects, equipment installations, or manufacturing initiatives Familiarity with NPI, stage‑gate processes, or continuous improvement methodologies Exposure to ERP systems, Power BI, or project management software Key Competencies Attention to detail and follow‑through Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills Data‑driven mindset with comfort tracking schedules, costs, and actions Proactive problem identification and escalation Collaborative, team‑oriented approach Additional Job Details Works to achieve operational, functional, and/or business targets within team with direct and indirect impact on departmental or job family results, using practical technical principles Intermediate‑level technical contributor; generally works independently under moderate supervision and may seek advice of more senior employees in the same area Failure to achieve results requires allocation of additional resources to meet goals and impacts project completion with potential for additional financial expense Works on smaller, less complex projects/assignments Communicates with employees typically within the department and/or job family, explaining and interpreting matters related to the department; may communicate with external clients or partners depending on the job area May influence employees within own job area at an operational level Responsible for making minor improvements to technical/business processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team Problems faced may be difficult but are not complex, requiring application of technical skills/analysis drawing from prior experiences, and typically involve consideration of multiple issues and impact job family and/or multiple teams May provide guidance, help with training and review work of entry‑level employees May lead parts of less complex projects or processes Requires understanding of basic context and practical knowledge of technical and business environment as well as potential and upcoming technical advances within area of specialization, typically obtained through advanced education and relevant experience Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience Equal Employment Opportunity Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative‑action employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
