Assistant Project Manager – Federal ConstructionA highly respected federal general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale government and DoD construction projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable organization that values hands-on learning, professional development, and long-term career growth.About the RoleThe Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and field leadership in coordinating all phases of construction — from preconstruction through closeout. This includes managing documentation, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and communication between the field, office, and client. This position requires travel to project sites, which may include military bases or secured federal locations.ResponsibilitiesSupport project planning, scheduling, and procurement activitiesManage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentationAssist in budget tracking and cost control effortsCollaborate with superintendents and subcontractors to maintain project progress and qualityEnsure all work meets federal compliance, safety, and reporting standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred2–5+ years of experience in commercial or federal constructionExperience supporting USACE, NAVFAC, or GSA projects is a plusProficiency with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS ProjectStrong attention to detail and communication skillsWillingness to travel as needed for project site supportWhy This OpportunityIndustry leading salary and full benefits package along with living allowanceExcellent training and advancement potential within a highly respected federal contractorOpportunity to work on meaningful, mission-driven projects
