Case Mix: General cardiology consults, inpatient rounding, TEE, cardioversions, stress testing
Rounding: Included
Phone Consults: Yes

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: Epic
Specialty Backup Available: Yes (Interventional Cardiology)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)
Cardioversions
Supervision of Stress Tests
Inpatient rounding and consults

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE in Cardiology (ABIM)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required
Experience: Residency trained in Cardiology required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide general cardiology consultations for inpatients at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Round on inpatients and manage cardiology care during the coverage period.
Perform TEE, cardioversions, and supervise stress tests.
Take call during the 7-day coverage period, including night and weekend call at MUSC Georgetown.
Coordinate with interventional cardiologist for STEMI patients and prioritize stress testing on weekends.
