Packer Full Time Manual Labor Haverhill, MA, US 13 days ago Requisition ID: 1032 Salary Range: $15.00 To $16.50 Annually Position Summary: Packer is responsible for the production and/or packaging of a variety of manufactured products. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting Examine all finished product to ensure that packing specifications are met, date code is applied Inspect product for flaws or defects Ensure correct counts, bags and boxes according to job specifications Assist in changeovers and work stoppages to clean work area and equipment using cleaning solutions Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices while in production areas Adhere to and enforce procedures in regards to Food Defense, Safety, and HACCP Report all accidents, incidents, safety violations, near misses or unsafe conditions to a supervisor Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Break down cardboard for recycling and separate waste as per company’s policy Perform related duties as required by supervisor Qualifications: Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be willing to learn and have attention to detail Must have the ability to work extended hours while standing Must have good job performance and attendance records Physical Demands and Work Environment: This description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of an employee assigned to this job.
