IT Helpdesk / Project Coordinator (MSP)

Job Description

This is not a hands-on Help Desk Technician role . The ideal candidate comes from an MSP environment and understands helpdesk operations, project coordination, client management, vendor relationships, licensing, inventory tracking, and operational logistics.

Think of this as a blend of:

MSP Service Coordinator

Client Success / Account Coordinator
Operations Coordinator

Compensation & Logistics

Location: Great Neck, NY (Onsite)

Salary: $100,000-$125,000

Experience Required:

3-5 years of MSP experience (required)
MSP background is non-negotiable

Key Responsibilities

Help Desk Coordination

Support helpdesk operations
Assign and track tickets
Coordinate technician schedules
Ensure jobs are progressing
Act as liaison between clients and technical teams

Project Coordination

Coordinate internal and client-facing projects
Order equipment
Track project milestones
Coordinate field technicians
Manage project timelines
Coordinate installations and deployments

Client Management

Regular client visits
Relationship building
Serve as client point of contact
Identify opportunities for additional services
Gather requirements and communicate needs internally

Vendor & Operations Management

Coordinate with software and hardware vendors
Manage subscriptions and renewals
Track licenses and user counts
Assist with billing accuracy
Support backup and cybersecurity contract administration

Administrative Functions

Equipment logistics and shipping
Inventory management
License management
Billing support
Documentation
Reporting
