Key Responsibilities:
- Seeking a Medical Technologist (ASCP) to perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory testing in an acute-care hospital environment.
- Responsibilities include specimen processing and testing, quality control, result verification, equipment maintenance, inventory management, troubleshooting, and supporting laboratory performance improvement and staff training.
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: Rotating Weekends / Weekends Only: ThursdaySunday
- Specialty: Lab Tech Lab
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science, or equivalent CLIA88 qualification.
- ASCP, CLS (NCA), or applicable specialty certification required.
- Minimum 1+ year of recent Blood Bank experience in an acute-care hospital laboratory.
- Experience outside of an acute-care hospital setting will not be considered.
- Knowledge of moderate- and high-complexity laboratory testing.
- Must be comfortable working night shifts and rotating weekends.
- Important: Candidates must have recent acute-care Blood Bank experience and the required laboratory certification.
