About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in St. Ignace, Michigan. This outpatient opportunity offers a consistent four-day workweek with no call or weekend responsibilities, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

Position Details

• Assignment Start: Tentatively August 3, 2026

• Assignment Length: Minimum 12 weeks

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour shifts

• Call: None

• Weekends: None

• Practice Setting: Outpatient Primary Care

• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

• Patient Volume: Approximately 18–22 patients per day

• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for adult and geriatric patients.

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.

• Perform preventive care, wellness visits, and chronic disease management.

• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.

• Perform pelvic exams and Pap smears.

• Complete disability examinations as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (must become Board Certified within 3 years of residency completion)

• Active Michigan medical license

• Active DEA registration

• Current BLS certification

• Minimum of one year of Primary Care experience
