Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in the cath lab environment. Ensures patient safety, monitors patient status, and assists with emergent and non-emergent cases.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interventional cardiology teams to facilitate smooth procedural flow.
• Monitor and assess patient vitals and responses during interventions.
• Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and environment for procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, education, and post-procedure care.
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and assist in emergency interventions.
• Document procedures, patient information, and clinical observations accurately.

Qualifications:

• Current VA RN license in hand is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Circulator, including RLHC/PCI, Peripheral, or EP circulating experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC and circuit management.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and emergency protocols.
• Ability to respond rapidly to urgent call situations, including long and short calls.
• Must be vaccinated against influenza during flu season and compliant with facility COVID vaccination policies.
