We are looking for a 3rd shift Production Supervisor for our Modesto, CA facility!Summary:Results-driven leader responsible for supervising team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.Essential Duties:Maintain compliance with product-quality requirements and customer expectations, including accurate quality records.Support a safe work environment by reinforcing company safety programs and applicable requirements and addressing or escalating unsafe conditions.Drive attainment of production schedules and forecasts and take appropriate corrective action when performance does not meet requirements.Accurate and timely reporting of Key Performance Indicators.Attends all production management meetings as required.Maintain accurate and timely production confirmations, inventory transactions, quality records, and key performance indicator reporting.Monitor equipment reliability, support completion of preventive maintenance requirements within the work cell, communicate maintenance needs, and drive improvement in equipment performance and uptime.Ensure adequate cross-training to cover vacation leave and other absencesWork with Purchasing, Customer Service, Shipping, and other business partners to confirm that materials, cut lists, and related production requirements are available for the planned schedule.Direct responsibility for team members. Coordinate staffing, break coverage, cross-training, and absence coverage to maintain operational continuity.Communicate with Crew regarding performance against Company goals.Manage attendance, disciplinary, and employee-relations matters in accordance with company policies, applicable employment requirements, and collective bargaining agreement provisions where applicable.Ensure accurate recording of time and attendance for employees.Ensures that all rules/policies stated within the Employee Handbook, the Company Safety Programs, and any federal or state guidelines/laws are being adhered to.Coordinate with Engineering and other functions to support the introduction of new products and product variants.Maintain housekeeping standards and designated storage areas for raw materials and finished goods to support safe and efficient operations.Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, equipment reliability, productivity, and departmental processes.Ensure Stock usage is correctly recorded on SAP through confirmations, and any Bill of Material Changes are implemented.Consistently apply company policies, work rules, attendance expectations, and operational standards in a fair, objective, and accountable manner.Perform other related duties based on operational needs, including providing appropriate coverage during employee absences.Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Three or more years of manufacturing or production experience, including experience providing day-to-day direction to frontline employees.Experience in insulated panels, metal building, construction-products, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.Prior experience providing day-to-day direction or supervision to frontline employees in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.Personal AttributesThe successful candidate will exhibit the following attributes:Visible and Fair LeadershipIs consistently present, approachable, and even-handed with frontline employees.Treats people with respect while remaining firm and consistent when expectations are not met.Calm Operational ComposureRemains steady and clear-minded when production pressures, disruptions, or people issues arise.Responds with urgency without becoming reactive, careless, or dismissive of concerns.Safety-Grounded JudgmentNaturally weighs safety, quality, people, and output after reaching a decision.Has the confidence to pause, question, or redirect activity when conditions do not appear sound.Dependable AccountabilityTakes personal ownership of commitments, decisions, and the standards reinforced with the team.Is persistent about follow-through and does not allow unresolved issues to become accepted habits.Respectful DirectnessCommunicates expectations and concerns candidly without becoming harsh, vague, or avoidant.Listens carefully and adjusts the approach without compromising necessary standards.Practical Learning AgilityIs curious and open-minded when tools, processes, or operating conditions change.Questions new information thoughtfully and uses practical judgment rather than accepting it at face value.Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to use SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system for production confirmations, inventory records, and related operational reporting.Other Skills and Requirements:Current CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including clear and professional communication with employees and business partners.Ability to handle sensitive employee and business information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
