CNC Machinist

Scope CNC machinist is comfortable programming, producing and checking parts using CAM software and CNC machines 3 or 5 axis. Duties and Responsibilities Inspect products for defects and ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards. Conduct routine equipment checks, coordinate maintenance, and troubleshoot machinery to minimize downtime. Maintain production logs, track performance metrics, and report issues to supervisors or management. Coordinate with supply chain, quality assurance, and management to optimize workflow and production efficiency. Follow safety guidelines, provide training to team members, and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Create, edit, and run CNC programs that control cutting and shaping tools. Install and align cutting tools, adjust machine parameters, and ensure proper lubrication and cooling. Monitor machine performance, identify defects, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues. Perform inspections and quality checks on produced parts, correcting defects to meet specifications and industry standards. Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen. Work Experience 5–10 years in CNC machining. Education and Training High school diploma or equivalent with additional technical training or apprenticeship in CNC machining. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD/CAM files; understanding of machine processes and CNC programming. Attention to detail: Ensuring precision in measurements and adherence to specifications. Problem-Solving: Identifying and troubleshooting machine malfunctions or production issues. Proficiencies GD&T CNC Tooling CNC Programming G‑Code M‑Code CNC Machine Setup & Changeover Machine Setups for Production Runs Normal vision and hearing and the ability to communicate effectively to others in person or via written communication (in English) is needed. Basic business math skills are required. This position will usually be worked in the warehouse which may occasionally have various odors and noise emanating from the warehouse.
