Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction and project buyout through final punch list and closeout.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing public sector construction projects in a General Contractor or Construction Manager environment. Experience working with municipal, state, federal, education, healthcare, or other institutional clients is highly preferred.

This role requires strong project leadership, financial management, contract administration, scheduling, risk management, subcontractor coordination, and client relationship skills. Experience with public procurement, alternative delivery methods, Progressive Design Build, bid compliance, and regulatory requirements is important.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete project lifecycle from project buyout through final punch list and closeout
• Lead complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
• Manage multi million dollar project budgets and monitor project financial performance
• Prepare and review Work in Progress WIP and over under billing reports
• Monitor project profitability, costs, revenue, and financial forecasts
• Identify project risks involving labor, materials, supply chain, site conditions, and scheduling
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Manage project schedules and coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
• Develop and maintain master schedules covering complex sequencing and long lead items
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships
• Oversee preparation and execution of subcontracts and owner contracts
• Ensure contractual requirements and project obligations are properly managed
• Handle project disputes and serve as an escalation point for complex issues
• Negotiate with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings
• Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements
• Manage relationships with government agencies, public owners, and institutional stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with public procurement requirements and applicable regulations
• Manage projects involving alternative delivery methods and negotiated construction
• Support preconstruction activities and project planning
• Maintain accurate project documentation and financial reporting
• Lead project closeout activities and ensure successful final completion

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Significant construction project management experience
• Strong experience managing public sector construction projects
• Experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager
• Experience with municipal, state, federal, education, healthcare, or institutional projects
• Experience managing multi million dollar construction projects
• Strong knowledge of public procurement processes
• Experience with alternative project delivery methods
• Knowledge of Progressive Design Build and other negotiated delivery methods
• Experience with bid compliance and regulatory requirements
• Strong contract administration and subcontract management experience
• Strong financial management and project cost control skills
• Experience with WIP and over under billing reporting
• Strong construction scheduling experience
• Experience managing project risks and resolving complex disputes
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, government agencies, and internal field teams
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field is preferred
• Relevant construction certifications are a plus
