Line Cook

SUMMARY 

We are currently seeking passionate full time individuals that are eager to cook in a busy, high quality kitchen. Must be a team player, willing to help the team out with a positive attitude, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Jolie combines an innovative cocktail program and a modern pan French menu blending flavors from Paris and New Orleans to Montreal.

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Responsible for cooking and plating menu items in accordance with the recipes and standards of our culinary team
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Clean and focused to prepare for and execute service, and maintain a pristine working environment at assigned station
• A creative mindset with strong attention to detail is essential

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Minimum 1 year previous experience in a high volume restaurant is required.

Sit, walk, and stand continuously. 

Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally) 

Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level. 

Use dominant hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation. 

May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.
