Are you seeking a new position in the hotel industry where you can demonstrate your managerial abilities? Our busy hotel is looking for a banquet manager who is uncompromising in their commitment to client satisfaction and offering an excellent banquet event experience for our guests. You'll interact with guests directly to book banquet space and provide options that match their needs and budgets.
We require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to supervise banquet employees and ensure the best quality of hotel services. Our ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in management. Apply today if this sounds like an exciting opportunity!
Responsibilities:- Strengthen a customer-focused banquet event department continuously by developing policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-cutting measures
- Record the outcomes of each event to evaluate and improve future events and procedures
- Send banquet event orders to on-site staff members so they are informed of necessary duties and assignments
- Communicate with customers to go through banquet event choices that fit their budget and go over any modifications, questions, or concerns to guarantee a great product is delivered
- Supervise the daily operations of the banquet are, including ordering supplies, overseeing event space set-up, and selecting staffing levels to provide an exceptional level of service
- High school graduate or GED equivalent with a degree in hospitality management preferred
- Over 3 years experience managing a team in a hospitality role, preferably in a food service capacity
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) are needed
- This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
