FORKLIFT DRIVER

$24.22 per hour Second Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (overtime and weekends as needed) Overview Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. Duties and Responsibilities Loading and unloading trucks; warehousing product and materials and supplying production lines with requested product and/or components in a safe and efficient manner. Ensuring that all units are banded properly, have a clearly visible load tag when being loaded, and that there are no broken or missing straps on the units. Performing our last visual quality inspection, and ensuring that unit and truck counts are correct and that all paperwork is accurate. Using a computerized scanner for inventory control; unloading incoming material as needed and performing a visual quality inspection on items to confirm accurate unit and truck counts. Forklift certification with 3‑5 years of forklift experience in a fast‑paced environment. Flexibility to work shifts and availability for overtime. Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English; math skills will be assessed. Ability to read and understand an order spec sheet and a tape measure (to 1/16" measurement), perform basic math, and use basic computer skills. Knowledge of load tags, unitizing, and palletizing information. Completion of Lift Truck Training and passing of the written and driving skills test to be certified as a Lift Truck Operator. Adaptability to fit into a plant safety culture. Successful background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
