Experienced Medical Billing & Insurance Claims Specialist

Busy Pulmonary Physician Practice is seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow into a work-from-home role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance accounts receivable (A/R)
• Investigate and resolve claim denials
• Navigate online insurance portals
• Perform accurate charge entry
• Handle patient billing inquiries professionally and courteously
• Multitask efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and office staff

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of medical insurance billing and collections experience
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, commercial insurance plans, ICD-10 coding, and medical billing processes
• Experience with eClinicalWorks Practice Management system preferred
• Pulmonary practice experience is a strong plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Professional, personable, and dependable
• Team-oriented with a commitment to long-term employment
