Job Description
Job Description
Paylocity is an award-winning provider of cloud-based HR and payroll software solutions, offering the most complete platform for the modern workforce. The company has become one of the fastest-growing HCM software providers worldwide by offering an intuitive, easy-to-use product suite that helps businesses automate and streamline HR and payroll processes, attract and retain talent, and build a strong workplace culture.
While traditional HR and payroll providers automate basic HR processes such as payroll and benefits administration, Paylocity goes further by developing tools that HR and businesses need to compete for talent and deliver against the expectations of the modern workforce.
We give our employees what they need to succeed, including great benefits and perks! We offer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and a 401(k) match, as well as perks that support you, your family, and your finances. And if it’s career development you desire, we provide that, too! At Paylocity, people matter most and have always been at the heart of our business.
As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help us solve challenges and succeed as you grow and understand the unique needs of our clients and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver the performance they need.
With a position in Sales & Marketing, you’ll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.
As Manager of Events, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s events portfolio and a portion of the incentive program experiences, from initial planning to post-event analysis. This role requires hands-on involvement in managing live event production, driving internal engagement strategy, liaising with stakeholders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the successful delivery of all internal events and a portion of the incentive program components. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ensuring events and incentive experiences meet the company’s strategic goals and deliver exceptional experiences for both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Project Management
- Oversee event planning, execution, and follow-up. Manage the end-to-end process from assisting with developing the annual events strategy to post-event reporting.
- Lead the full lifecycle of event planning and execution, overseeing strategy development through post event analysis to ensure seamless delivery and measurable impact.

- Oversee onsite technical execution, including leading AV setup, rehearsals, and show calling; directing production crews and coordinating cues; troubleshooting issues proactively; ensuring content and equipment readiness; and driving seamless delivery of all live event components.
- Ensure all events meet established deadlines and quality standards, including budget management, vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and talent/executive coordination.
- Owner of overall service delivery strategy.
- Develop and conduct site inspections as required and follow up with site inspection notes, revised estimated budget, program itinerary and program timeline.
- Facilitate the creative direction and fulfillment of program related participant and stakeholder communications materials, including, but not limited to save the dates, registration announcements, room gifts, pre-trip and onsite materials, including program signage and participant name badges.
- Develop event and incentive playbooks, frameworks, and standardized processes that scale with organizational needs.
- Responsible for leading, developing, and advancing a team of 2–3 people, providing coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities to build skills, elevate performance, and support long term career progression.
Vendor and Venue Management
- Source destination, hotel and venue options that meet the goals and objectives of the internal event or incentive program.
- Negotiate and purchase ground transportation, entertainment, and décor elements via preferred Destination Management Companies and/or direct vendors.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, including AV, catering, transportation, and staffing agencies.

- Travel to events to supervise all onsite logistics, ensuring smooth execution. Oversee setup and breakdown, troubleshoot issues, and ensure overall satisfaction of clients, customers, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams, and vendors to ensure all logistical aspects run seamlessly.
