We measure our success by how well we protect and care for our team, our consumers, our animals, and our environment, while delivering operational excellence and exceptional value to our customers.Pay Rate: $93,825 - $117,275Job Description:Develop, implement, and enforce governing safety and health policies and procedures and conduct incident investigations to ensure “root cause(s)” have been identified and that appropriate corrective action has been completed.Mentor supervisors, team members, and management to develop a positive safety culture throughout the facility.Work within a team environment closely with maintenance, production and FSQA. Maintain and analyze safety related data to develop trends and action plans. Prepare and deliver reports for management and guide safety committees.Perform safety audits and inspections of the facility’s operations, as well as track findings and assign corrective actions to ensure closure.Prepare and deliver selected EHS trainings and programs to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.Assist, enforce and monitor compliance with environmental programs for the facility; programs include Air Quality, Pesticide, Hazardous Material, Hazardous Waste, Industrial Wastewater and Drinking Water & Storm Water ProgramsQualifications:Must have a B.S./B.A. degree in safety or related field (ASP or CSP Preferred).Must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in planning, developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with health and safety system programs and environmental programs.Education and experience must clearly indicate the existence of specialized knowledge in critical health & safety programs and functions, such as medical management, behavioral safety process, facility auditing, incident investigation, and employee safety committees.Knowledge of Cal/OSHA, Fed/OSHA and UFC rules and standards.Must demonstrate good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand English; Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Punjabi preferred.Must be able to work in both individual and team work settings with minimum supervision.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, as well as health and safety network information systems.Must be able to work varying shifts in varying environments including wet, cold and hot environments and must have regular attendance; must be able to occasionally audit/train on 2nd and 3rd shifts.Must be able to stand on the production floor for varying amount of times with or without accommodations.Foster Farms ACTION Guiding PrinciplesAccountability: Deliver on commitments.Collaboration: Achieve more by working as a team.Truth-Seeking: Be open-minded and act with humility.Initiative: Be proactive and lead with a growth mindset.Ownership: Take responsibility for results.Nimble: Operate with speed and agility.Why Join Foster Farms?This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of the ready-to-eat business at a leading food company, directly supporting our mission, vision, and values.
