Registered Dental Assistant I HOMELESS - LAFH, North Hollywood, CA, US 29 days ago Requisition ID: 3738 Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for providing patients with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient‑care duties. The RDA assists the dentist during treatment procedures by preparing patients and handling instruments and materials; performs clinical infection control procedures, maintains and orders materials/supplies, cleans and disinfects operatories, cleans and sterilizes instruments, maintains equipment, takes x‑rays, educates patients, and performs additional duties as permitted under California state law. Reports to: Chief Dental Officer (CDO), Manager of Dental Operations, RDA Business Office Manager Qualifications Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California Diploma in Dental Assisting, or high school graduate or GED Certificate equivalency Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Dental Assistant Sealant Certificate (required for new hires; required for existing RDA at NEVHC) Note: Business and Professions Code Section 1752.6 states that a registered dental assistant licensed on or after January 1, 2010, shall provide evidence of successful completion of a board‑approved course in the application of pit and fissure sealants prior to the first expiration date of their license that requires completion of continuing education as a condition of renewal.
