In this role, you will handle the core technical pieces of our pre-construction and engineering efforts—partnering closely with our Lead In-House Engineer, accompanying the sales team on client calls, conducting field site surveys, and developing fully engineered mechanical solutions for commercial projects. If you bring deep technical expertise, CAD proficiency, and a client-facing mindset, we want to speak with you.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Provide advanced technical engineering support, partnering with our Lead In-House Engineer to design and develop customized, high-performance mechanical system solutions.

• Collaborate directly with sales teams, joining sales calls and client meetings as the technical subject matter expert to present engineering recommendations and build client trust.

• Perform thorough physical site surveys and engineering evaluations across the Greater Pittsburgh area to evaluate existing mechanical infrastructure, take measurements, and define project requirements.

• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and utilize CAD drafting technology to produce precise mechanical layouts, schematics, and project engineering drawings.

• Utilize Salesforce (CRM) to document project details, track engineering workflows, and maintain seamless alignment between sales and project management teams.

• Provide ongoing technical support, guidance, and problem-solving assistance to project managers, field superintendents, and installation crews throughout project execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of deep technical experience in the mechanical contracting, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), or industrial engineering sector. Strong mechanical systems background is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related engineering field is preferred; however, a formal degree is not strictly required if backed by extensive, demonstrated hands-on technical design expertise and industry knowledge.

• Highly proficient in heating and cooling load calculations, building system design, and mechanical equipment selection.

• Hands-on experience with CAD/drafting software and familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce experience is a plus).

• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport on sales calls and present complex concepts clearly to clients.

• Valid driver's license for local site visits and willingness to undergo standard pre-employment background checks and drug testing.
