Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and professional Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. This role involves working with patients across all age groups, utilizing advanced nursing processes, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.Position InformationRole: Registered NurseSpecialty: Operating RoomNumber of Openings: 1Shift: Nights - 4x10 scheduled between 19:00 and 07:00Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36Assignment Length: 13 weeksWeekend Hours: As required by the facilityResponsibilitiesPerform direct patient care activities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to ensure optimal patient care and comfort.Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, ensuring adherence to established guidelines of nursing practice.Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.Demonstrate accountability for the provision of patient care, adhering to mission, values, and service standards.QualificationsRequired Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License eligible for or currently licensed in the state.Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only.Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience, with scrub and OR circulator experience necessary.Preferred Skillset: Additional experience in a teaching hospital environment is a plus.Unit InformationNumber of Beds: Main OR: 22, ASC: 8, Ortho: 10Patient Ratios: 1:1Equipment: Various surgical instruments including DaVinci Robotics system.EMR: EPICWorking ConditionsThe incumbent will be required to stand and walk for most of the shift, and may need to lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs.
