Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care; considers patient preferences, barriers, values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely as this is a safety‑sensitive position.
