Responsibilities include managing diagnoses such as low birth weight, high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, total body cooling, and feeders/growers. The RN will collaborate with a diverse support team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care according to the NICU standards and protocols. Manage ventilation setups and adjustments as required for neonates. Administer medications and perform IV starts and titration. Participate in neonatal resuscitation efforts when necessary. Coordinate with the healthcare team to provide holistic care for patients. Requirements: Minimum 1.5 years of NICU experience required; travelers must live over 100 miles from the facility. Registered Nurse (RN) license by the South Dakota Board of Nursing, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications. Proficiency in using EPIC charting system (prior knowledge preferred) and Med Dispensing via Omnicell. Skills in vent management, IV starts, chest tube management, and neonatal resuscitation preferred. Ability to work variable shifts, including potential weekends and holiday assignments.
