Human Resources Business Partner

Location: On-site in Danvers, Massachusetts, with up to 15% travel. Role Description We are seeking a strategic, business‑minded Human Resources Business Partner to support leaders and employees across our U.S. operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to management, providing guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent development, employee relations, and HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment and is comfortable managing both strategic initiatives and complex day‑to‑day HR matters. Key Duties And Responsibilities Strategic HR Partnership Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business goals, including workforce planning, capability building, and organizational design. Provide data‑driven insights to inform decisions related to talent, compensation, performance, and labor cost trends. Provide executive‑level support to business leaders, offering counsel on people decisions, change management, and organizational dynamics. Support restructuring, integration, and cross‑functional shifts. Facilitate communication plans, org updates, transition guides, and leadership messaging. Partner with leadership on employee engagement, culture improvements, and feedback follow‑up. Employee Relations & Compliance Lead investigations related to performance, conduct, workplace concerns, conflicts, and policy violations. Partner with Legal regarding high‑risk actions (performance terminations, RIFs, accommodations, sensitive disciplinary actions, administrative leave cases). Maintain thorough documentation to meet legal, compliance, and audit standards. Talent Management & Leadership Support Manage the full performance cycle (goal‑setting → midyear → annual review → calibration). Coach leaders on documentation standards, feedback delivery, development planning, and succession readiness. Assess talent gaps and recommend targeted interventions (training, coaching, structural changes). Compensation & Workforce Planning Partner with Finance and leaders and compensation partner on labor cost planning, compensation benchmarking, job leveling, and internal equity reviews. Review salary proposals, promotions, role changes, and market adjustments to ensure fairness and compliance. HR Operations & Systems Oversee HR systems and vendor relationships (ADP Workforce Now, Fidelity, benefits carriers, recruiting vendors) while managing employee life‑cycle activities: onboarding, offboarding, systems access, compliance tracking. Support onboarding/offboarding processes, including new‑hire experience, exit management, and compliance requirements with partnership with HR Generalist. Coordinate immigration programs with external counsel (TN, H‑1B, OPT, PERM, travel scenarios). Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, Marketing, and Sales/Clinical leadership to support business continuity, audits, compliance reviews, and workforce programs. Prepare executive‑ready reports, Board updates, and global HR submissions (turnover, labor trends, headcount variance, compensation analysis). Draft executive‑ready presentations, summaries, board report content, and cross‑border HR communications (including HQ-Korea/US alignment). Qualifications and Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience as an HRBP required; medical device industry preferred. Competencies Strategic business acumen and strong executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leadership and shape organizational decisions. Expert‑level employee relations judgment, including advanced risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and experience managing complex or high‑stakes cases. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft executive‑ready briefs, board‑level summaries, and clear leadership communications. Highly analytical approach, with strong proficiency in Excel, HRIS platforms, and data‑driven decision making to support organizational planning and workforce insights. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and high‑impact matters with absolute discretion and professionalism. Operational excellence mindset—proactive, organized, and detail‑driven, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow‑through. Proven capability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed, and evolving environment, balancing strategic initiatives with hands‑on HR support. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, fostering trust and collaboration across HR, leadership, and cross‑functional teams. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, and web browsers. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data and provide strategic recommendations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated leadership and autonomy with a focus on company growth and operational excellence. Ability to build strong working relationships and foster a collaborative team environment. Dependable, punctual, and committed to meeting accuracy and productivity goals. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Self‑driven with a commitment to continuous learning and development. Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs. Travel Requirements This position requires 10-15% of your work time to be dedicated to business travel. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively. Must be able to sit, stand, and/or drive for extended periods. Interaction with x‑ray devices requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of dose monitoring equipment. Work environment may occasionally be very loud. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
