A confidential plaintiff-side employment litigation practice is seeking a senior attorney to represent individuals in California-focused matters involving sexual harassment, discrimination, and related claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). This position is well suited to an experienced litigator who values client-centered advocacy, can own substantive case work, and enjoys collaborating closely with seasoned litigators on high-stakes, meaningful disputes.

THE ROLE

- Represent individual clients in employment disputes, with a focus on FEHA sexual harassment and discrimination claims

- Evaluate intake and develop case strategy, themes, and litigation plans grounded in California employment law

- Draft and argue pleadings and motions, including dispositive motion practice

- Manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission

- Prepare for and take depositions; prepare clients and witnesses for deposition and hearing testimony

- Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations, including demand analysis and settlement documentation support

- Prepare for hearings and trial, including evidentiary issues, witness preparation, and pretrial filings

- Maintain consistent, professional client communication and counseling throughout the life of each matter

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location:

Washington State (Seattle area)

Schedule:

Hybrid, in office 3 days per week (remote initially while office space is completed)

Compensation:

Base salary up to $400,000 (based on experience)

REQUIREMENTS

- 7 to 12 years of employment law litigation experience, including substantial work on sexual harassment and discrimination matters

- Strong working knowledge of California employment law, including FEHA

- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

- Active Washington State bar admission, in good standing

- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

- Demonstrated record of professional stability and progression

- Client-focused approach with sound judgment and sensitivity to the personal nature of harassment and discrimination matters

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

- Strong academic performance (for example, top 25 percent of class from a highly regarded law school, or comparable distinction)
