Position Overview

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close activities. This individual will provide financial insight to leadership while maintaining a hands-on approach to the day-to-day accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and decision-making
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial analysis activities
• Support audits, tax reporting, and compliance requirements
• Mentor and develop accounting staff
• Drive process improvement initiatives across the accounting function

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong financial reporting and accounting operations background
• Proven ability to lead teams and partner with executive leadership
• Hands-on leadership style with willingness to work in the details
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within construction, contracting, manufacturing, engineering, project-based, or similar operational environments
• Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, or percentage-of-completion accounting
• Experience leading accounting teams through process improvements and organizational change
