About this role

We're hiring experienced concrete carpenters in Orlando, FL to build and assemble formwork for commercial and government construction projects. You'll work on-site with a crew to lay out, build, set, and strip concrete forms, supporting pours and ensuring the formwork meets plans and specs. This is hands-on, physical work. You should be able to read construction drawings, perform accurate site layout and measuring, and communicate clearly in English and Spanish. Local assignments with regular schedules - expect day shifts and possible overtime during pours.

What you'll do

• Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms for walls, slabs, footings and columns
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and as-built documents to lay out formwork
• Perform site layout, measuring and cutting to ensure forms meet tolerances and alignment
• Coordinate with crew members, concrete crews and site supervision during placing and finishing operations
• Inspect formwork for quality and safety, make adjustments and repair or replace form components as needed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience building and setting concrete formwork on commercial or government projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, as-built plans and layout marks
• Skilled in site layout, measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry
• Experience supporting concrete placement/pouring and general concrete work
• Comfortable working on crews, following site safety rules and maintaining formwork quality under schedule pressures

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Orlando-area sites
• OSHA 10 (preferred) or other recognized safety training
• Trade school, apprenticeship or proven on-the-job experience in concrete formwork
• Able to pass a drug screen and basic background check; physically able to lift, climb and work in outdoor conditions
