As the dedicated School Social Worker for this assignment, you will serve an elementary caseload of approximately 25 students, while also offering in-classroom support for special education settings. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (IL SSW) license.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
- Prior experience working in a school setting required.
- Availability for an immediate start; commitment through October 2, 2026.
- Ability to work onsite, full-time; this position does not offer remote or virtual options.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Submission of a current resume and licensure with application.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect social work services to elementary students.
- Conduct small-group and individual interventions to address social, emotional, or behavioral needs.
- Support special education classrooms through push-in services and collaboration with teaching staff.
- Serve as a liaison between families, teachers, and community resources to support student development.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings as needed.
