Our clinician-owned clinic is expanding and seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy with residents in the community and assisted living environments on a part-time basis.

Quick Glance: We are looking for a PTA who can be available to assist with on-going treatments in individual homes and ALFs in the area. The sessions are all one-on-one and focused on improving mobility and increasing quality of life.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has prior experience in geriatrics and is currently licensed in the state of Virginia, or in the immediate process of receiving it. They are motivated to help improve balance and strength deficits and are comfortable in home and assisted living environments.

Responsibilities :
- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve patients' mobility, strength, and range of motion
- Provide hands-on manual therapy, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and promote healing
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for home exercises and self-care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of progress and treatment outcomes

Requirements :
- Valid Virginia state Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Available a minimum of 20 hours a week. 

Salary: $40/hr
