About Our Company Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, selling fan and fashion-oriented headwear and apparel across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. Operating out of Indianapolis, IN, our retail stores offer officially licensed headwear and apparel from collegiate and professional sports teams, plus top brands like Nike, New Era, Adidas, and Mitchell & Ness. We currently operate 1,200+ locations domestically and 50+ internationally, including specialty concept stores for the NBA, NHL, Paris Saint-Germain, and numerous MLB teams. Position Summary Goal: Produce sales gains, meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics, and provide consistent documentation of associate performance. Key duties include delivering excellent customer service, adhering to visual guidelines, maintaining a professional appearance, and supporting store operations. Key Responsibilities Generate sales by delivering excellent customer service and meeting company sales objectives. Control expenses by protecting company assets, managing inventory accurately, following wage control guidelines, and completing necessary documentation. Supervise associates through training, recruiting, performance feedback, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Perform store operations such as opening/closing, scheduling coverage, and maintaining store cleanliness. Job Knowledge & Skills High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of related experience. Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with a computer and related software programs. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, and work with hands overhead. Capacity to stand for up to 100% of the work time. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. Preferred Compensation Assistant Store Managers earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Compensation may vary by skill, experience, and location. Part‑time positions are also available with monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
