About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Actuary to serve as a senior executive leader with a focus on all actuarial functions, including pricing, reserving, underwriting, forecasting, and insurance risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the health plan, providing strategic insights to executive leadership, and overseeing actuarial and underwriting operations across various lines of business. This role is pivotal in maintaining regulatory compliance, actuarial governance, and the development of actuarial talent. Key responsibilities include leading product and pricing strategy, financial oversight and forecasting, and serving as the Appointed Actuary with a strong emphasis on regulatory and statutory accountability. Applicants for the Chief Actuary position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field, with an FSA or ASA designation and MAAA required. A minimum of 10 years' actuarial experience in health insurance, particularly with a deep expertise in Medicaid, is essential. The role demands a strong background in pricing, reserving, forecasting, and regulatory filings, as well as excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred experience includes value-based care, risk adjustment, and population health analytics, as well as enterprise risk management or capital strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, be results-driven, and have the ability to translate complex analytics into clear business insights.
