VIRTUAL HEALTH BUSINESS ANALYST

Overview The Virtual Health Business Analyst (VHBA) collaborates with Moffitt team members to leverage virtual health technologies in delivering care and analyzing high‑level business requirements. The VHBA will create functional specifications and report documentation to define how applications will behave based on customer needs. They provide guidance in defining system and process requirements that promote exceptional patient, provider, and staff experience. This role contributes to end‑user support and technical education to optimize adoption of these technologies. Responsibilities Partner with internal and external users (team members, leadership, patients) and IT teams to capture context – problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs, and impacted user groups. Develop business, user and software requirements (functional and non‑functional). Establish traceability of business and functional requirements to support the business vision. Execute elicitation techniques such as interviews, facilitated workshops, focus groups, observation, documentation study and surveys, and exploratory prototypes. Act as a critical communications liaison between business domain users and developers/testing personnel. Review feature ideas from internal and external sources and prioritize them for future development. Adhere to SDLC, working with management to improve organizational maturity. Design and develop effective virtual health solutions, including reports and dashboards. Respond to ad‑hoc data requests by performing extracts, queries, creating reports, fixing data issues, and addressing technical questions. Perform data accuracy audits, data quality assurance, and quality review procedures. Monitor quality and compliance of services to ensure excellence for patients and clinicians. Investigate and follow up with functional areas to monitor vendor practices for compliance and value. Track account usage for clinicians, patients, and families to deliver virtual health services in alignment with Moffitt branded experiences. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Design, Health Care, or related field; or 5 years directly related experience in lieu of a specialized Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of five (5) years experience analyzing and documenting business, stakeholder, functional and non‑functional technical requirements for strategic and/or operational projects. Alternatively, Associate’s degree plus additional IT systems support experience totaling 7 years, or High School diploma/GED plus 9 years of support and analysis experience. Minimum of three (3) years experience in IT or business project roles involving analysis, development, and testing. Proficiency in requirements gathering methodologies and SDLC. Minimum of two (2) years experience facilitating sessions to define scope and requirements for medium to large projects spanning multiple business and technical domains. Preferred: Experience supporting consumer‑facing products; demonstrated knowledge of program support, information architecture, and product optimization. Salary Range Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range. Actual compensation may vary based on location and factors including experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
