Locum-to-Perm - Pomona, New Jersey Non-Invasive Cardiology Opportunity

Clinical Role Join a well-established cardiology group providing inpatient and call coverage at a regional healthcare system in Pomona, New Jersey. This locums opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with support from a large team of cardiologists while delivering comprehensive non-invasive cardiology services.

Assignment Details Coverage Dates: July 2026 and ongoingCoverage Need: 1-2 weeks per month, including weekdays and weekendsReason for Coverage: Provider shortageCredentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30-60 days

Schedule & Coverage Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Coverage Includes:

• Inpatient cardiology coverage
• Weekend call responsibilities

Call Requirements:

• Approximately 2 or more weekends per month
• Call ratio approximately 2:4
• Weekend call assignments do not need to be consecutive

• Adult
• Geriatric

Average Daily Patient Volume:

• Approximately 20 patients per day

Average Inpatient Admissions:

• 0 admissions per physician per day

Required Procedures:

• Echocardiography
• Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
• Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Treadmill Stress Testing

Facility Information:

• Mainland Campus: 400 beds
• City Campus: 200 beds
• ICU Beds: 23

Support & Technology EMR: Oracle/Cerner

Cardiology Team:

• 24 Cardiologists within the group
• Additional cardiologists available during locum coverage
• Collaborative physician support model

Requirements Board Certified in Cardiology - RequiredCardiology Fellowship Training - RequiredBLS - RequiredACLS - RequiredNew Jersey Medical License or willingness to obtain - RequiredExperience with Cerner EMR - Preferred
