Quick Facts:

• Location: AtlantiCare - Mainland & City Campus, Galloway, NJ
• Start Date: July 2024 (flexible)
• Duration: 1-2 weeks, ongoing short-term coverage
• Shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM, with weekend call
• Call Schedule: 2+ weekends/month, ratio 2:4 (not consecutive)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Locum
• Licenses/Certifications: Active NJ state license preferred; BLS, ACLS, Board Certified
• Experience: Prior inpatient cardiology experience preferred

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay Rate: Discussed upon application

What You ll Do:

• Provide inpatient cardiology coverage at a Level 2 trauma hospital
• Perform echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, EKGs, and treadmill stress tests
• Collaborate with a team of 24 cardiologists and other healthcare providers
• Manage adult/geriatric patient populations
• Document patient care using Oracle/Cerner EMR systems
• Ensure quality care and adherence to hospital standards
• Assist during high-acuity admissions and urgent cases as needed

What You Need:

• Active New Jersey medical license (or eligible to obtain)
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• At least 2 years of relevant inpatient cardiology experience
• Strong procedural skills in echocardiography and stress testing

About the Assignment:
This assignment involves providing specialized non-invasive cardiology services at a reputable hospital in Galloway, NJ. You'll work closely with a team of cardiologists and other providers to deliver high-quality inpatient care, primarily for adult and geriatric patients. The hospital features 600 beds combined and ICU support. The role offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for weekend call coverage, contributing meaningfully to patient outcomes in a supportive environment.
