Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit caring for medical oncology patients
• Approximately 48-bed unit (24 PCU beds and 24 MS Tele beds); travelers primarily assigned to MS Tele patients at 1:4-5 ratios
• High acuity patient population with variety of diagnoses including solid tumors and blood cancers
• Epic EMR system; GE telemetry monitoring system, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation equipment
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; optional 2-day chemotherapy training course available for professional development
• 72-hour orientation period with interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license)
• Minimum 2 years of current inpatient nursing experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry required
• PCU experience not required; MS/Tele experience acceptable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
