Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a CVOR Surgical Technologist (or equivalent)
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proven experience assisting in cardiovascular surgeries in an acute care setting
• Solid understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedural protocols
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, and assist with cardiovascular surgical equipment and instruments
• Ensure sterile field and adherence to infection control measures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiology staff before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor, anticipate, and respond to the needs of the surgical team, facilitating seamless operations
• Safeguard accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout cases
• Support patient safety and provide high-quality, compassionate service at every stage
