Job Description
Join a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team as a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 4-week assignment working 8- or 12-hour rotating Day/Evening shifts. The PACU RN will provide specialized post-anesthesia and critical care recovery services for high-acuity surgical patients in a large teaching hospital environment. This role requires advanced assessment skills, critical care expertise, and the ability to manage complex post-operative patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions.

Requirements:

3+ years of clinical RN experience required

2+ years of PACU experience required

Critical care PACU experience required

Large teaching hospital experience required

Epic experience within the past 2 years required

BLS Certification required

ACLS Certification required

PALS Certification required

Experience with arterial lines, cardiac monitoring, and multiple titratable drips required

Strong post-anesthesia recovery and critical care assessment skills required

Must be willing to work rotating weekends, holidays, and call shifts as needed

No block scheduling permitted
