About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty required. Recent Step Down experience required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required at the time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: Must work at least every other holiday. Experience in PCU/Progressive care preferred but not required. Must complete a rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment with acceptable scores during orientation. Description: Position available in a step down unit. The traveler may float to other units to care for the same patient population. A rotating shift is required, working night or day shifts. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs. All certifications must be active and held at the time of submission. References from a manager or supervisor in the specialty are required for submission. Travellers must pass background checks and not have any open cases. A negative 10 panel drug screen is required within 12 months prior to starting. Local candidates may be accepted under specific circumstances. Travel candidates who maintain a continuous contract will be required to complete annual competency modules. Modules will be recorded and may vary based on specialty. All other travelers must be nicotine-free unless exempt.
