Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse, located in the specified location, is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical conditions. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal recovery during a scheduled assignment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for managing patient care in a Progressive Care Unit, including neurological, orthopedic, and trauma patients, with a focus on telemetry, chest tubes, and airway management.
• Certifications/Education Requirements: Iowa state license or compact/multistate license required; active American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Experience Requirements: 24 months of current Medical Surgical, Intermediate Care Unit, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience in a hospital or medical center setting required; neurology/neurosurgery and orthopedic care experience highly preferred.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience; active Iowa or multistate license; experience in EKG/telemetry reading; certifications including BLS, ACLS; driver's license.
• Additional Information: Must be willing to float across all campuses; orientation begins on 10/26/2026. No first-time travelers; previous travel experience within 12 months required.
