Bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper understanding of least restrictive devise regulations, proper utilization of restraint devises, special care needs.Provide for residents with special needs related to their diagnosis (i.e. behavioral issues, splints, etc.)Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse including injuries of unknown sources.Documents resident care accurately and completely at point of care utilizing computerized medical record system.Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN.Answers call bells in a timely and polite manner.Assists in provision of post-mortem care.Performs vital signs as directed.Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment.Makes two hour and prn rounds on all residents.Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned.Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice.Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary.Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) main duties and critical tasks:Care for multiple residents in the facility. Observe resident rights.Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents.Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision.Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.Required education and experience:Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice and employment.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
