Location Geisinger Primary Care Kingston Shift & Hours Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type Regular Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Job Duties Diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Perform routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services. Incentives & Schedule $10k recruitment incentive for new hires. Attractive schedule: Office Hours - Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 8:15 pm; Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am – 6:15 pm. 14 rotating shifts/month. Work every other weekend. No overnight shifts, and no mandated additional shifts. Call approximately six nights per year. No direct patient call – for critical lab, CT, etc. Six observed holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day. Experience & Qualifications Minimum six months of advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care. Must be able to treat patients from age one and older. Physician Assistant must hold an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility, and Pennsylvania State licensure. Nurse Practitioner must hold a certificate from an approved program or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position; must be eligible for licensure as an NP in PA. Master’s Degree – Nurse Practitioner (required). Basic Life Support Certification. Certified Nurse Practitioner – American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
