As a Planner/Scheduler, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of maintenance and capital projects in a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed, resource-loaded schedules that ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe execution of work—minimizing equipment downtime and aligning maintenance efforts with production priorities.

You will collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimize scheduling outcomes in line with Eastman's plant goals and turnaround strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed job plans and integrated project schedules using SAP, Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities in alignment with plant production schedules and safety requirements.
• Lead coordination meetings with Operations and Maintenance teams to align on equipment availability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams to define job scopes, labour requirements, craft sequencing, and shutdown windows.
• Interface with vendors and procurement to ensure timely availability of tools, equipment, and long-lead items.
• Lead scheduling meetings and provide schedule status updates and forecasts to internal stakeholders and client representatives.
• Monitor job progress and update plans to reflect scope changes, field conditions, or emergency work.
• Assist in preparing cost and labour forecasts and support capital budgeting efforts.
• Create, issue, and manage work orders in SAP and ensure accurate documentation of executed work.
• Maintain detailed records and historical data to support performance tracking and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with site-specific safety procedures, environmental regulations, and CAM/Eastman quality standards.
• Develop job plans and work packages for mechanical and I&E jobs.
• Build a "ready-to-schedule" work order list that the team leads can schedule for technicians with a minimum of one week ahead schedule
• Serve as a main gatekeeper for CMMS
• Maintain accurate records and databases of maintenance activities, including labor, materials, and parts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of safety practices in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with production, industry maintenance, and utility equipment/systems.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Regular interaction with internal stakeholders (Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, EHS, Finance, etc.)
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of industrial experience in planning/scheduling within chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
• Proficient in Maintenance CMMS System, such as SAP PM, and/or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment specs to build accurate job plans.
• Familiarity with turnaround/outage planning and coordination is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships across client and contractor teams.
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of OSHA, PSM, and environmental safety regulations applicable to chemical manufacturing is an asset.
